As the "China Titanium Valley", Baoji's titanium and Titanium Alloy industry has long occupied the "C position" in the domestic market. In 2024, Baoji's titanium output will reach 170,000 tons, accounting for 65% of the country and 33% of the world, with a total output value of about 56 billion yuan, a steady increase of about 10% over the previous year. The scale of the industry ranks first in the world, and the development momentum and vitality of Baoji's titanium and titanium alloy industry can be seen. Against the dual background of the advancement of the "dual carbon" strategy and the rise of emerging industrial clusters, "Baoji Titanium" is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. The just-concluded 2025 Baoji Titanium Valley International Titanium Industry Expo set new records in exhibition area and number of exhibitors. During the exhibition, titanium companies from home and abroad brought out their "hard stuff", "titanium products" were dazzling, and new technologies and new materials "bloomed".
As we all know, titanium is a multifunctional high-tech metal with superior performance. From aerospace, marine engineering to chemical industry, medical and many other fields, it can be said that titanium is everywhere. Baoji's titanium industry started in the 1960s. After just over 60 years of development, it has now built a complete industrial chain of "sponge titanium-titanium ingots-titanium and titanium alloy processing materials-titanium composite materials-titanium deep processing products", with more than 700 titanium and titanium alloy companies embedded in it. The Titanium Expo, held every two years, has become an industry event and a development vane.
At present, Baoji is forging the hard-core support of a major country's heavy equipment based on "titanium"; building a world-class titanium and new materials industrial base with "valley" as the core; igniting the surging momentum of new quality productivity with "innovation" as the engine; and building an open and win-win industrial ecology with "cooperation" as the key.
