What Is 90° Long Radius Titanium Butt Weld Elbow？

This 90° long radius titanium butt weld elbow is a core directional fitting for Titanium Alloy piping systems. With a curvature radius of R=1.5D, it is formed as a single piece using a seamless hot pushing process. The end faces are precision machined according to welding standards and are designed for butt weld connections. Used for 90° turns in piping systems, it offers low fluid resistance and smooth flow, making it widely used in pipelines operating under highly corrosive conditions.

The base material is pure Titanium Material TA1/TA2 (ASTM Gr1/Gr2), though titanium alloy TC4 and Gr5 can also be customized upon request. It resists corrosion from strong acids, strong alkalis, seawater, and chloride containing media. With its light weight and stable strength, it can operate reliably over the long term in corrosive environments at both high and low temperatures.

Application

1. Chlor alkali industry: Pipelines for caustic soda, chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, and wet chlorine; piping systems for brine purification and electrolytic cells. Resists severe chloride ion corrosion and prevents rapid pitting and perforation in ordinary stainless steel.

2. Hydrometallurgy / Non ferrous Smelting: Leaching pipelines for copper, nickel, cobalt, lithium, and vanadium ores; pipelines for transporting sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and mixed acidic leaching solutions; and feed and discharge pipelines for extraction tanks, suitable for high temperature acidic slurry conditions.

New Energy Lithium Battery Industry: Production lines for lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide; pipelines for transporting lithium sulfate and lithium chloride solutions, as well as for lithium precipitation and impurity removal processes; pipelines for acidic slurries used in cathode material precursors, meeting requirements for high-purity media and low iron contamination.
